Jersey Shore Outpatient (IOP)

If you or someone close to you is living in New Jersey and having a difficult time staying sober, know that you are certainly not alone – and recovery is always possible through intensive outpatient programming.

About Our Intensive Outpatient Program

When people think of addiction treatment, they typically think of entering into a long-term program of residential care. In most cases, inpatient treatment does come recommended. Being separated from the stressors of day-to-day life can be extremely beneficial, especially when a person has been struggling from a moderate or severe substance abuse disorder and is at great risk of relapse. However, it is important to note that addiction recovery is not a one-size-fits-all process. The level of clinical care that best suits one person might not be quite as beneficial for another. This is where Intensive Inpatient Treatment, also known as IOP, comes into play.

At Jersey Shore Recovery Center, we offer an intensive and highly individualized IOP addiction treatment experience quite unlike any other available throughout the state of New Jersey. Not only does our IOP program provide the same level of intensive therapy and relapse prevention training that one might find in inpatient rehab, but we offer a range of additional amenities geared towards paving the road for lifelong sobriety.

IOP is not for everyone – it might be an ideal treatment option for people who are in one (or several) of the following situations:

  • The person has a mild substance abuse disorder and has not experienced any life-changing consequences as a result of his or her drug or alcohol use
  • The person cannot afford a long-term program of clinical care, or he or she has an insurance policy that does not cover all behavioral healthcare services
  • The person is caring for a dependent, or he or she has a career that requires a high level of attention and cannot be stepped away from for months at a time
  • The person had previously accumulated a significant amount of sobriety, but experienced a short-term relapse and needs some extra support
  • The person needs a great amount of support because he or she does not live in a healthy or supportive living environment
If you are wondering whether or not our New Jersey IOP program is right for you, we are available to help. Simply give us a call and we will help you determine whether or not this level of care best meets your needs.

Over the course of the past several years, the state of New Jersey has seen a dramatic increase in drug addiction cases. The opioid epidemic rages on, and hundreds of New Jersey residents lose their lives to an accidental overdose on an annual basis. The rates of alcohol abuse and alcoholism are also exceptionally high throughout the state. Sadly, the majority of New Jersey residents who are struggling with drug addiction and alcoholism fail to seek the help they need. They might not think that inpatient rehab is a good choice for them, and they might be unaware that other treatment options exist.

Our IOP program in Ocean County, New Jersey delivers quality clinical care in a professionally run treatment facility, but clients have far more flexibility than they would have in a higher level of care. They are able to return home every evening and carry out their lives, after spending a full morning and afternoon learning what it takes to stay sober long-term.
