Treatment Programs Offered
At Jersey Shore Recovery Center we take an integrated approach to addiction recovery. This means that we focus on physical, mental and emotional healing from the scarring caused by substance abuse.
PARTIAL CARE TREATMENT (PHP)
Our Partial Care Treatment Program, also known as Partial Hospitalization (PHP), is a step down from residential inpatient treatment. While it is suggested that a person completes medical detox before transitioning into our program, PHP is often a sufficient level of clinical care – that is to say, inpatient rehab is not always necessary. PHP might be an ideal stand-alone treatment option if a person has never struggled with substance abuse previously, if he or she is struggling with a mild or moderate substance abuse disorder, or if he or she has no underlying, contributing factors (like a mental illness or unresolved trauma). PHP might also be an ideal treatment option if a person has pre-existing obligations and cannot commit to between one and three months in a residential program. Our PHP program delivers intensive clinical care, and is composed of a combination of individual therapy, group therapy, 12-step program involvement, educational group workshops and holistic treatment methods like yoga therapy and mindfulness meditation.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)
Our Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP) is one step down from our PHP. Rather than being transported to our facility every day, clients attend a variety of therapeutic sessions, workshops, 12-step meetings and holistically-based groups roughly five days a week. They are then responsible for using their free time over the weekend in healthy and productive ways. IOP is an ideal level of care for people who work jobs that they cannot easily step away from, people who are the sole caretaker of a dependent (someone who relies on them), or people who are struggling with a mild substance abuse disorder and no underlying issues. In the IOP portion of our treatment program, a strong emphasis is placed on relapse prevention training. Clients learn how to identify the people, places and things that could potentially trigger a relapse, and they learn how to work through the uncomfortable emotions that often lead to a return to drug or alcohol use. The length of our IOP program depends heavily on the unique needs of each individual client.

An Integrated Approach to Addiction Recovery
Active addiction affects every area of life – drug and alcohol abuse does much more than devastate the physical body, it destroys mental health and severely compromises emotional stability. In order for a person to get and stay sober, all areas of life must be thoroughly addressed. This is why recovery must incorporate more than Alcoholics Anonymous or individual therapy with a licensed professional. It must include 12-step education and involvement, individual, group and family therapy, the development of healthy coping mechanisms and a thorough introduction to vital life skills. Our New Jersey treatment center focuses on delivering all of the above-listed treatment modalities and many more.
